HYDRATION INSTRUCTIONS for Techni Ice 4 Ply Sheet / gel packs
Note:
Techni Ice reusable dry ice packs / gel packs start as a flat sheet and
absorbs water through a special perforation technology in the surface
of the products.
STEP 1: Fold Techni Ice sheet like a fan,
accordion style and while
holding sheet along the fold with both hands,
completely immerse
in warm water.
STEP 2: Continue holding along the fold underwater and squeeze sheet
with both hands until air bubbles have
escaped. The hydration process will now begin
and the cells will swell ready for the product to be used both
cold or hot.
Leave submerged in water until completely hydrated.
STEP 3: IMPORTANT! Leave a small amount of room in each cell for room to expand while freezing.
FREEZING INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: Adjust freezer to coldest setting for best results.
STEP 2: For initial use, place sheets in freezer for a minimum of 24 to 48 hours.
STEP
3: When frozen, use at least 1 sheet of Techni Ice per 8 quarts of
cooler capacity for maximum performance. An average
family cooler (48 quart) would need 6- 8 sheets to stay cold for
extended periods.
NOTE: When
storing Techni Ice in a frost free freezer for an extended time, store
in zip lock bag. This will help eliminate dehydration. If sheets start
to dehydrate, simply follow the above instructions to re-hydrate.
When storing sheets outside of freezer, make sure sheets are
dry. Store in open plastic bag.
FOR HEAT
Fold
hydrated sheet of Techni Ice and place in microwave oven for one
minute. If additional heat is needed, microwave in 1/2 minute
increments until the desired temperature is reached.
BODY: Make sure the
Techni Ice sheet is not too hot to place on the body. Always place a
towel between the body and the heated Techni Ice and remove immediately
if it feels too hot.
FOOD: Techni Ice reusable dry ice packs can be used inside coolers for keeping food hot.
TECHNI-ICE sheets measure 10 x 15.6 inches and consist of 24 cells per sheet.
Cut between cells to fit any size container.
